If you need a visual of a high up place and you want to do it safely, a drone is the perfect tool.  No need for ladders, harnesses or tying off.

This giant membrane roof would take many man hours to thermal scan. The drone can have it done in an evening. The process is simply this: Fly the roof during the day for a visual reference. Then fly the in the evening when the solar load is off the roof. All the water soaked insulation under the membrane holds on to its heat and is visible with infrared.
